Caroline Carr was trained by Elva Buck (R.A.D. Examiner) at the Leicester Academy of Dance from the age of three, for thirteen years. She successfully auditioned at sixteen for Arts Educational Schools London (Arts Ed.) and Italia Conti Stage School – winning places at both colleges.

At sixteen, she took her place at Arts Ed. completing three years, gaining all her Advanced grades in Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Tap (R.A.D. and I.S.T.D) and graduated with an Arts Ed 3yr Dip in Dance Studies.

​

Caroline subsequently danced professionally for nine years working for Ballet and Musical Theatre Companies in London, throughout the UK and abroad. She danced with the great musical theatre producer Cameron Mackintosh.

​

Caroline spent five years in television, taking roles in French and Saunders, Auf Wiedersehen Pet, Top of The Pops, and By The Sword Divided.

Five years prior to opening her own studios, she taught full time as a freelance dance teacher in London and Leicestershire, specialising in Ballet, Modern Jazz, and Musical Theatre.

Since opening her own studios in 1997, Caroline has been principal of CCDS. She is a fully qualified teacher for the RAD, IDTA, and PBT (Professional Ballet Technique). 

​

Caroline also currently holds the position of Mentor for the RAD CBTS.

- Grace Carr  -

Grace Carr initially trained at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts for 5 years.

 

She then moved to London's Central School of Ballet, graduating with a 1st Class degree BA Hons in Professional Dance.

Grace is trained in Professional Ballet Technique.

​

Alongside CCDS, Grace teaches for The School of Ballet Theatre UK as part of their BA Hons/R.A.D teaching faculty and Addict Dance Academy.

- Rosie Price -

Dance Teacher

(Ballet, Contemporary, & Pilates)

Rosie trained at CCDS as a junior before training professionally at Elmhurst School for Dance for five years, and then completed a BA Hons Degree in Ballet & Contemporary Dance at Rambert School. During which she worked with some of the most talented and inspirational dancers and choreographers in the industry including Mark Baldwin, Kerry Nichols, Leila McMillan, Douglas Thorpe and Dane Hurst.

​

She started her career working on creative commissions with Rambert Dance Company members and has since worked on a number of contemporary projects in and around the London area.

Since returning to The Midlands in 2012, Rosie works as a freelance contemporary, ballet and pilates teacher and choreographer within the community.

 

For companies such as Spitfire Theatre Company/Leicestershire Arts Rosie delivers workshops, co-ordinates and choreographs contemporary and physical theatre. For companies such as Caroline Carr Dance Studios, as a qualified teacher through the Royal Academy of Dance, she delivers classical ballet coaching (including privately) choreographs classically and delivers body conditioning methods for dancers including Progressing Ballet Technique.

​

Rosie is currently Head of Contemporary and Choreography at The School of Ballet Theatre UK which also consists of delivering contemporary repertoire and improvisation skills.

​

Rosie also holds the position of Ballet faculty on the Birmingham Royal Ballet Dance Track programme.

- Samantha Cubitt  -

Artistic Administrator 

Samantha is very much the 'Lady behind the lights' here at Caroline Carr Dance Studios. She operates much of the behind the scenes including artistic direction and administration at CCDS, 

​

Her qualifications include:

​

RSA Levels 1, 2, and 3 Secretarial.

​

City and Guilds, Art and Design Level 3 (Embroidery, Flora, Art, and Gold Work).

​

Trustee of Turner's Syndrome Society (TSS) UK.
